The location of the Garthur Stay Inn is perfect for accessing nearby attractions like Geysir and Gulfoss waterfall. The room felt cozy with a lovely sitting area, and I appreciated the cleanliness. The shared kitchen was well-equipped and allowed me to prepare my own meals. Having access to laundry facilities was an unexpected bonus after days of exploration. However, the walls are quite thin, leading to noise from other guests using the kitchen, especially at night. It’s also worth noting that there’s a significant extra charge if traveling with a child. Overall, the free entry to the Secret Lagoon, along with towels and robes, made my stay feel special and enjoyable.

During my four-night stay, the access to the secret lagoon was an absolute highlight, especially after long hikes around the area. The shared kitchen was well equipped, and it was a pleasant surprise to find laundry facilities available, which really came in handy. The room itself was cozy, providing a warm retreat after a day of exploring, and the friendly atmosphere made a real difference in our experience.

The location was perfect for visiting Brúarfoss and Geysir, exactly as I had hoped. The shared kitchen provided everything we needed and was exceptionally clean, making it easy to prepare meals. I adored the garden view. it was serene and added to the overall charm of the stay.

The maintenance of some facilities could use improvement.

Family with children delight

Was thrilled to have access to the Secret Lagoon included in our stay we didn't even know! The staff was super friendly and helpful, always ready to lend a hand. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meals, I mean, olive oil, spices, even fresh milk daily.

It wasn’t the least expensive option but still reasonable for what we got.

In my wife’s opinion, a dimmer for the room lights would help.

The room was spotless and had great amenities. We loved being right next to the hidden lagoon. The shared kitchen was well maintained and had everything needed for cooking.
